Forbes Japan Japan`s CEO of the Year 2016 Award Ceremony

When Forbes Japan sought to commemorate the top CEOs in Japan with its 2016 CEO of the Year Award, they turned to Empire to help them design and execute the perfect celebration.
Held at the Palace Hotel overlooking the lakes and gardens of the Tokyo Imperial Palace, this event hosted around 300 entrepreneurs and business leaders from 16 different companies across Japan. The ceremony kicked off with a speech from Forbes Asia Editor-in-Chief Tim Ferguson. In addition, other greetings and speeches were made by top CEOs including Co-Owner of IDEO, Tom Kelley.
The Award Ceremony included awards for the "Best 10 Management", "Best 3 Most Innovating" and the "Best 3 Innovative Startups". Ranked number 1 in the "Best 10 Management" was President of Dai-ichi Mutual Life Insurance Mr. Yoichiro Watanabe. For "Best 3 Most Innovating" the winner was Rakuten President Mr. Hiroshi Mikitani. Among the "Best 3 Innovative Startups" the winner was President of Preferred Networks Mr. Toru Nishikawa.
The ceremony ended with a talkshow among the 3 winners including Forbes Asia Editor-in-Chief, Tim Ferguson and Co-Owner of IDEO, Tom Kelley.
