Longchamp Japan "Longchamp x Pokemon" Launch Event

October 2020. Tokyo, La Maison Omotesando

Thanks to Longchamp, Pokémon GO, the famous AR video game will be taking up residence in the French capital. The French luxury brand launched a whole collection featuring Pikachu, arguably one of the world’s most iconic animated characters. Prior to its worldwide release, Longchamp Japan called upon Empire to help design and execute the perfect pop-up experience.

Located at the Longchamp La Maison Omotesando, guests were greeted with an original Longchamp x Pokemon face masks and an adult size statue of Pikachu. From Ceiling to floor, water bottle and cookie give outs, to a “Pokemon GO” dress up corner and U.F.O catcher, guests were consumed with all things Pokemon.

The collection, the “LE PLIAGE® CUIR POKÉMON" and “LE PLIAGE® COLLECTION POKÉMON, came in 4 variations. Including bags and small accessories in the black and white LGP canvas and embossed leather. The Longchamp x Pokemon collection released internationally on October 14, but for those who couldn’t wait, the items were available for advance purchase from October 9 in Japan at the Longchamp La Maison Omotesando and Ginza locations as well as Longchamp Japan’s online store.

Empire was tasked with the planning and the overall production to ensure a smooth event from start to finish. We are proud to once again work with Longchamp and continue to act as a leader in producing global fashion brand events.
