Longchamp Japan Brings Parisian Craft to Life in Immersive Pop-Up
This July, Longchamp Japan invited guests to step into a poetic vision of Paris through the “PARISIAN ARTISANS” pop-up – a limited-time experiential installation in the heart of Daikanyama, Tokyo. Celebrating a new capsule collection created in collaboration with rising French artist Constantin Liétard, the pop-up offered a dreamy escape into a world where craftsmanship, art, and the Parisian spirit intertwine.
Inspired by the quiet charm of Left Bank bookshops and the aroma of freshly ground coffee, the space was infused with the soul of Parisian life — captured through Liétard’s whimsical illustrations and signature blue hues. The design evoked a sense of everyday enchantment, blending tradition and creativity with the unmistakable flair of modern French artisanship.
Bringing the experience to life, visitors were treated to a curated series of immersive activations: an artful photo booth, custom postcard services, a flower stall by ALL GOOD FLOWERS, and a pop-up bakery from PIERRE HERMÉ PARIS. At the center of the activation stood a custom-designed ice cream cart, serving seasonal treats that recalled the joyful spirit of summer in Paris.
Empire Entertainment partnered with Longchamp to lead the creative and production efforts across the entire project – from conceptual design and venue buildout to the development of the ice cream cart's distinctive visuals and all aspects of on-site operations. Empire also produced a suite of engaging social media content, amplifying the experience online and capturing the attention of a style-conscious Tokyo audience.
With its bold visual identity, immersive storytelling, and tactile sense of artistry, the “PARISIAN ARTISANS”pop-up offered a refreshing, blue-hued escape — a celebration of the modern Parisienne lifestyle, reimagined in Tokyo.

Guests received their first taste of technological innovation at registration, where they were welcomed by name on a reactive LED screen installation covering the full width of the entry wall. A large lunch café was created with a décor scheme that incorporated custom-built, ceiling-high steel LED frames draped with foliage to create smaller, intimate restaurant-style spaces that displayed both technology and nature.
A series of breakout sessions presented content targeted to attendees’ varied interests, while imagery displayed throughout the venue showcased real-life applications of how products designed to empower developers help to unleash the power of data and reimagine possibilities that will improve our world.
Every element of Microsoft Connect(); from registration, breakfast and keynote, to lunch and evening cocktails, were custom-designed to communicate exacting brand messaging and to deliver a high-touch guest experience to this important audience.
